Todoist brings its task management app to Apple Watch

Todoist Apple Watch

Apple may not have included its Reminders app on Watch OS, but Todoist is bringing its own to-do list app to the Apple Watch. Included in the latest update to the iPhone version, Todoist for Apple Watch lets you sort through your tasks and projects, respond to alerts, and even create new assignments.

Todoist for Apple Watch also features a glance so you can quickly see the next step in a project just by raising your wrist and swiping up from the watch face. You can make new entries by pressing firmly within the app, then using voice commands and natural language input in Todoist.

For just working off of Todoist for Apple Watch, the task manager presents your inbox for random tasks, your today view for what you want to accomplish now, your projects list for the bigger picture of what you need to get done, and filters for sorting through items. Todoist Premium users can access labels from the Apple Watch app as well.

In addition to including a complete Apple Watch app, Todoist version 10.1 also adds a new widget and extension for the iPhone and iPad:

Today Widget: While not much has changed on the surface, we did a ton of behind-the-scenes work to make the Today Widget faster, smoother, and more reliable. We think it’s going to make a huge difference when you want to manage your tasks quickly without having to launch the app.

Share Extension: Our Share extension allows you to save pretty much any item from any of your iOS apps in Todoist. For this update, we completely rebuilt the UI to make it faster and much more pleasant to capture tasks from anywhere on your iPhone or iPad. We also added in our intelligent new date parser so you can add even your most complex recurring due dates right from the Share extension screen.

You can grab the latest version of Todoist for iPhone, iPad, and now Apple Watch for free on the App Store, then mark that off your list.
